OBJECTIVES

TIRAC‘s main objective is to reduce the consumption of antibiotics against digestive problems in fattening rabbits, ensuring their health and profitability for the farmer. Specific:

  • Evaluate the real problems of the farms and health priorities of the sector.
  • Identify and assess the best algae and algae extracts that favor the intestinal health of kits.
  • Assess the effect of certain nutritional strategies on digestive pathology, zootechnical results and the use of antibiotics in rabbit fattening.
  • Evaluation of the effect of nutritional strategies and the incorporation of algae/extracts on digestive pathology, and the use of antibiotics in rabbit fattening.
